Dateless
KEP 69 is a dateless registration: three letters followed by two numbers, with no age identifier. That means it can be put on a vehicle of any age, old or new, and it never dates the car it is on.
Private registrations move between owners through the DVLA: once a price is agreed, the registration can go straight onto your vehicle, or be held on a retention certificate until you are ready to use it.
